Groupe Heafey and Boless have teamed up to buy a 15-storey office building in Gatineau, Que., for $18.5m, RENX reported.
The 202,000 sq ft building at 200 Boulevard Sacré-Coeur was sold by CanPro Investments. CBRE brokered the deal.
The site is zoned for residential use, and the 15-storey building could be converted to around 200 apartments. Currently, the federal government occupies the entire building on a lease expires in December 2026, plus a one-year extension option.
Groupe Heafey and Boless have collaborated on other development projects, including a high-rise multifamily building near 200 Boulevard Sacré-Coeur, according to RENX. They also worked together on a 100,000 sq ft office project in Gatineau prior to the pandemic.
